Q: Why can users publish more than one project? It makes the Published Project Search results very messy..
A: Do not worry - see the dropdown called "Filter" in the search form? Just set it to "Show only one project / user", and it will do just that!

Q: Important information about the user accounts and logins used on Futuremark's website
A: Our site uses two separate registrations and user accounts:

One is for the Online ResultBrowser (ORB), and another for the Futuremark Forums. Currently these accounts use completely separate logins and user databases.

The benchmark account is used for the Online ResultBrowser (ORB). Your email and password are required when creating or logging in to the benchmark account. You can create an account when submitting a project from one of our benchmark programs - there's a link on the login page that allows you to enter your email address & the desired password. You can afterwards edit your account (email, password & other information) in the Profile Manager. You can login any time on the Login page.

The Discussion Board account is used in our Discussion Board, and currently doesn't share any information with the benchmark account. The Discussion Board account uses a username (not email) and password for login. You can create a new Discussion Board account by clicking the New User link in the top menu of the Discussion Board. Note that you can register to the Discussion Board even if you don't have a benchmark account. You can edit your Discussion Board account information by clicking the Edit Profile link in the top menu of the Discussion Board. For more info about the Discussion Board, please read the Discussion Board Guide & FAQ. Both logins use persistent cookies, so by default you don't need to relogin each time you come back to our site. Remember to press "Logout" if you don't want the cookies to stay on your computer.

Q: I am unable to log in!
A: Benchmark account: If you haven't used the Online ResultBrowser before, you must create a benchmark account first. The easiest way to do this is to run 3DMark or PCMark and after the tests are complete, click "Open Online ResultBrowser". On the login page, you are asked if you use our online services for the first time. Click the link, enter your name and email address and you should be all set!

When logging in later on, please remember that the email and password are case-sensitive, so type them exactly the same way as you did when registering. If you request your password by email, it's best to copy&paste the email address and password from the email you receive. If you're still unable to log in, check that your system date and time are set correctly. Also, make sure that your browser has cookies enabled, clear all browser caches and delete old cookies from MadOnion.com from your browser's temporary internet files folder.

Discussion Board account:

Remember that even if you are logged in to the benchmark account, you need to separately register and log in to the Discussion Board. Your Discussion Board username is used when logging in.

Q: I have forgotten my password!
A: Benchmark account: Please use the password mailing system.

Discussion Board account:

Enter your username on the Discussion Board login page and press the "I forgot my password" -button. You will get a temporary password by email. You can change your password after logging in with the temporary password.

Q: When I try to submit a project the program says "Connecting" and nothing happens.
A: For some reason our server is not receiving your file. Your connection to our web site might be down or our server might be temporarily unavailable. If your regular web browser can not connect to www.madonion.com, the problem is likely to be with your internet connection. If the connection works, our server might be busy or under maintenance - please try again later.

Q: Why can't I see the 3D Accelerator and CPU Comparisons in ORB?
A: If you have submitted a 3DMark2000/2001 project and still can't see the comparisons, this is probably because there are not enough submitted projects in our database with the required system configurations. To make the comparison charts statistically as accurate as possible, we need a certain amount of submissions for each system configuration. We get new submissions all the time, so check back soon to see if there is already enough data to calculate the charts for your system.

Q: My system configuration (FSB/chipset/etc.) is shown incorrectly in ORB.
A: We are aware of problems in detecting some system configurations. We are currently working on this, and most problems should be fixed in the future.

Q: The computer where I run the benchmark has no net connection - how can I submit my results?
A: After running the benchmark, you can save the results to a file by selecting "Save As..." from the File menu. You can then transfer this file to any computer that has a net connection and 3DMark/ResultBrowser installed, and select "Submit Saved Results" from the "Online Services" -menu. Select the project file you saved, and your results are submitted.

Q: I get zeros in all test results after submitting a saved project from 3DMark2000/2001 SE.
A: When submitting a previously saved project file from 3DMark2000/2001 SE, make sure you select "Submit Saved Results" from the "Online Services" -menu. If you first open a project from the "File" menu, only the project settings are loaded into 3DMark, not the actual test results. Selecting "Online ResultBrowser" after this submits a project with the same settings as the previously saved project, but with zeros in all test results.
